Summary :

Kazakhstan, which gained its independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union, is the republic with the largest land among independent Turkish states with a surface area of 2.724.900 km2. Kazakh Turks' path to independence has been realized as a result of very difficult struggles.
The Kazakh people, who had to constantly struggle for existence after their appearance on the stage of history in the 15th century, have suffered great disasters for centuries. The Kazakh steppes, which experienced a great massacre due to the Kalmuk and Cungar raids, had to be under the auspices of Russia because they could not provide their internal unity. However, this protection resulted in the occupation of the entire Kazakh country by the Tsarist Russian armies within a hundred years. The Kazakh Turks, who cherished their independence and sovereignty, never accepted this captivity and led more than 300 uprisings for two centuries. These revolts were bloody suppressed by Russian armies equipped with heavy firearms. These uprisings, which continued from the end of the 18th century to the early 20th century and the years of the First World War, resulted in the loss of thousands of people by the Kazakh Turks, while keeping their spirit of independence alive. The end of Tsarist rule after the Bolshevik Revolution and the establishment of Soviet rule did not change the fate of the Cossacks either. The hunger disasters in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century resulted in the death of millions of Kazakh Turks. Throughout history, many nations have disappeared from the world stage due to the disasters they have experienced. However, Kazakh Turks were able to withstand so many disasters of centuries and took their place in the independent world in the 21st century.
In this work, information is given about the struggle of the Kazakh Turks against the Mongol invasions in the 18th and 19th centuries, the Russian invasion of the Kazakh Steppes, and then the uprisings of the Kazakh people against Russian domination.
