The President of the ECO Educational Institute (ECOEI), Prof. Dr. M. Akif Kireçci, paid a visit to Prof. Dr. Selim Argun, President of the Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), at the Institute's headquarters in Ankara.
Both presidents highlighted the rich linguistic and cultural ties that connect ECO member states, many of which share centuries of common literary, artistic and intellectual traditions and emphasizedthe role of language and culture in bringing the peoples of the ECO region closer together. The two sides noted that language education and cultural exchange can play a lasting role in fostering mutual understanding, particularly among young people, and exchanged views on possible areas of cooperation, including language learning programs and cultural events that could reach students and educators across member states.
