The ECO Awards aim to reward exceptional accomplishments in fields of regional significance, with a particular emphasis on contributions aligned with the goals and objectives of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). These awards are bestowed biennially during the ECO Summit Meetings to nominees nominated by member states.
During the meeting, the Selection Committee meticulously reviewed the modalities and procedures for the awards and decided to reconvene to review the candidates proposed by member states in five categories including “Economics,” “History, Culture, Literature, Fine Arts,” “Science and Technology,” “Education,” as well as “Agriculture, and Environment.”
In line with the ECO's commitment to recognizing excellence and contributions across various domains, the ECO Awards continue to be a platform for honoring those who have made significant regional impacts.
The decisions made by the Selection Committee will be further reviewed and approved by the Council of Permanent Representatives (CPR), paving the way for the announcement of the deserving award recipients. The ECO Awards ceremony, a grand occasion during the ECO Summit Meetings, will provide a fitting platform to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of the awardees.
