Preschool Education Summit was jointly organized by ECOEI and Future in Education Association (Gelecek Eğitimde Derneği). ECOEI President M. Akif Kireçci gave an opening speech introducing the aims and activities of ECOEI as well as highlighting the importance of preschool education and ECOEI’s determination to have an active role in improving preschool education practices and rendering it accessible to all children.
The event lasted two days. On the first day, several educators, psychologists, scholars and experts made inspirational speeches on a wide variety of topics such as gamification, children and maths, having dreams and objectives at preschool age, technology use in preschool, preschool education policies from around the World and science and creativity.
On the second day, the participants chose from 30 different workshops with equally diverse themes: counteracting cyberbullying, gifted children at preschool age, teaching maths using drama, toy-making, gamification, puppet theatre, children’s literature, story-telling, musical activities, speech disorders, origami, introduction to coding and many more. On the next occasions, ECOEI is determined to overcome the language barrier and expand the horizons of the Summit to include teachers and parents from many other countries of the Region.
